Now and then, I get jealous of little kids. Especially my little brother. They know nothing bad. They don’t know about saddness, pain, fear.. Their mind is absorbing so much information, but it will take years for them to understand how ef’ed up the world really is. They don’t know that people around them are dying, or fighting, or getting divorced. They know that a mom is a mom and a dad is a dad, and that’s all there is to it. It was just yesterday when my little brother is already 5, that he reffered to my stepdad as “my dad” instead of just “dad”. He’s starting to understand that things aren’t perfect and thats just the start of it. I wish we could stay babies forever and never have to find out about the bad things.
